Mesothelioma is caused
by exposure to asbestos. Many workers have been exposed to
asbestos dust and fibers in their jobs. Known cases are not
limited to but have been found in miners, roofers, factory
workers, electricians, construction workers, ship builders,
gas mask manufacturers, and railroad workers. The fibers also
can stick on to a person's clothing and their family members
can be affected from being around them. Another way to be
infected is from the asbestos insulation that millions of
people have had in their homes. |
